Le Singe fou du kung-fu

Deux artistes de l'Opéra de Pékin, Chan et sa soeur, sont invités à dîner chez le sulfureux et puissant M. Duan. Le diner est magnifique, l'alcool et le vin coulent à flot. Ce repas est en réalité un coup monté bien orchestré. Chan, bon convive de nature, ne pressent pas le danger, il mange, boit beaucoup et finit complètement ivre. A son réveil, il est accusé de viol par la femme de M. Duan. En dédommagement, M. Duan accepte de ne pas exécuter Chan, mais la contrepartie est cruelle : il exige de la soeur de Chan qu'elle devienne sa maîtresse. Il estropie les mains de Chan avant de le relâcher. Désemparé, Chan subsiste en tant qu'artiste de rue, à la merci des gangs qui le harcèlent. Sa rencontre avec Little Monkey, un petit voleur raté, est une bénédiction. Il reprend confiance et va se battre pour sauver sa soeur..
